Approaching game 3-6 players per team for 10 to 20 min.
Supplies
- 1 disc for a “target”
- 1 disc per player
Preparations
- Divide the players into group of 3-6 players, with somewhat similar throwing ability within the teams.
- Determine throwing order of players for each team.
- One player in each group gets 2 discs (normal disc plus target disc).
Rules
- The 1st thrower throws the target disc anywhere.
- Then all players throw their discs, one after another, as close as possible to the target.
- The player who set the target throws last.
- The player with the shortest distance to the target receives one point and if they touch the target, two points.
- Then he/she throws the target (anywhere).
- The player who scores 5 points first wins.
Variations
- Limit players to a certain type of throw (jump putt, forehand, etc.). This can be a blanket restriction or applied to certain players to help even the odds or give them specific practice.
- If a player has considerably less throwing distance and/or accuracy, allow that player to use two throws to approach the target while the rest of the group still only throws once.
