A popular putting/throwing drill amongst more advanced juniors, made famous by Simon Lizotte (10 foot challenge).
Supplies
- One basket. Two for team play
- Cones/markers (around 10-15)
- Three discs for each player
Preparations
- Set the basket(s) in a safe place with sufficient space
- Mark throwing spots for each 1 to 3 meters depending on the level of participants. The first spot at 3 meters from the basket.
Rules
- A maximum of 6 people who compete as a team
- The goal is to get as far as possible in e.g. 15 minutes
- Starting from the 3 m line, the team can advance to the next line when they have made the required number of putts. At the closest distances more putts are required, whereas from a long distance, one putt is enough. See an example in the picture.
- Each player putts at the same time. After all discs have been used, the players go pick them up for another round.
- Alternative: Time is running, tick-tock! The players can putt simultaneously and the discs are fetched running to add a fitness element to the exercise.
The team must make 5 baskets from the 3 meter line, 4 from the 6 meter line and so on.
