Monster Ball


It’s somehow very satisfying to launch a disc at an exercise ball. It also helps get rid of the common mistake of throwing the disc too high.

Supplies

  • A field with plenty of space
  • An excercise ball, (it’s better to leave it a bit soft/deflated so that it doesn’t roll around on its own and doesn’t bounce to the moon with the first hit)
  • 3 discs for each player

Rules

  • Starting from about 3 m away from the ball, the goal is to bomb the ball as far as possible with their discs
  • In one round, each player has e.g. 3 discs.
  • Everyone cooperates to see how far they can get the ball to go.

Variations

  • You can also use other objects (e.g. bean bags) for throwing
  • Team competition: the team that bombed the ball further wins. Mark each team’s final spot with a cone and move the ball back to the start for the next team’s try. Make sure to avoid long waiting times by having players throw as soon as it is their turn.
